Synopsis

On Saturday, May 4, 1968, Igor Bazala started an 82 km long run to the mound on Bradla. He was a young editor of Czechoslovak Sports who did this to honor the memory of Milan Rastislav Štefánik. Completely exhausted, he reached his destination eight hours later. And this is how Štefánik's run was created. But the invasion of Warsaw Pact troops into Czechoslovakia stopped the tradition for 22 long years. Igor emigrated to Munich, but never stopped believing that Štefánik's run would be held once again. Today he is 82 years old and stands at the beginning of the eighth edition of the run he started decades ago.
